A beautiful hotel with very polite and pleasant staff. The location is reminiscent of a hotel in the middle of the forest which makes it beautiful and definitely worth the walk. The rooms are satisfactory and warm, The facilities are very good and correct, I am a customer who would definitely go back to this hotel, congratulations!
Stopped here for one night as part of a cycling holiday. Incredible location in the middle of the forest with many great walking and cycling trails in the area. We were lucky enough to be there during the heather bloom so on the day of our departure we woke up early and were able to walk a km or two from the hotel to a huge meadow full of heather which stretched on nearly to the horizon. The hotel itself feels a little old fashioned but not run down, we found it rather charming. Our room was fine for the price we paid for it, and came with the added bonus of a small outdoor seating area. Within the hotel there is a small pool, a restaurant and a downstairs bar which has darts, a pool table and a bowling alley. Staff were excellent. We didn't eat at the restaurant but had cake and coffee in the lounge before we left, which was very nice. Will probably stop by again in the future as it's cheap and the location would be hard to improve upon.
Judging purely by the room and the facilities alone, this hotel deserves a 1 star rating. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how pleasant the staff are and how delicious the food we had were (and that's big coming from a person who grew up in a culture that revolves around great food). But the room is extemely outdated and falling apart. Its like it was built up in the 60s and never got as much as a lick of new paint on the walls. The bathroom's sliding door was even missing one of its doors, it was hilarious (at least to us).
