Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Marijke

Stayed 3 days. No tea and coffee making facilities in room. No cereal option at breakfast. Dim lighting in hotel restaurant as we found out in other restaurants in Bergen. Liked the size of the room and location. I guess village hotel compared to city hotel.

Closed to Alkmaar. Difficult to find car park but easy to walk from everywhere around. The vibe of the hotel is very good. Friendly reception and good breakfast. However, the rooms are very uncomfortable, old and unclean. Huge spider webs with dead spiders. When you step on floor, it scratchs. Everybody's noise is inside the room. Bathroom is very old. A rennovation and insulation is a must.

We were road-tripping through the Netherlands and decided to stop off at this hotel. Upon arrival the room wasn’t ready yet, but we payed and checked in as it was a 4* hotel centrally located. When we got back to the hotel at 15h00 we were told there were no more rooms in the main hotel and were given a tiny room across the road … it was simply awful. We went back to the reception to check out and ask for a refund of €200 that we had paid. We were told that this was ‘not possible’! Honesty, I can’t remember the last time I had experienced such a terrible service. It felt like deceit.
