Very nice location, free parking, delicious breakfast. The pool is only accessible from May 1st. The beds were comfortable. As the TV channels are quite limited for foreigners, adding Netflix or some option to connect the guests phones would be nice.
Good overall experience, but we would not say a luxury one. Service compensates for the product and the location does the rest. To prospective future guests, I would recommend to read twice the amenities/facilities they offer, so it does not come as a surprise that there is no AC(but heating only?!) or refrigerator, which are compulsory by law in most EU countries for 3* hotels and higher. But that's on us for not paying attention. Plus: * Great Location; * Very kind receptionists (8-10.08.24)- thank you for all the info! * Room was big enough and cozy * Nice touch receiving towels on our doorknob when we had the DND On, thank you! * Breakfast - although the breakfast selection is pretty small, there are tasty, good quality products. Breakfast staff is also attentive and smiling; moreover, the coffee is a pleasure! Minus (intended in a constructive manner, please do not scold the staff for "unforced mistakes" that anyone can make): * No AC in the room, no refrigerator * Bathroom - room #125, there were specks of mold and grime on the shower wall tiles (not huge, just small dots, probably easy to miss during cleaning, should be adressed though before turning into a bigger problem); non-existent or undersized ventilation/extraction, does not cope to draw the steam/smell from the bathroom *Dinner English Menu - different than the one in German; ordered Cauliflower steak (from En Menu, on Fresh from the grill section), received Cauliflower pie - from German menu, although I specifically asked before if the items does exist and was confirmed that the steak exists. The food itself was tasty, I was just expecting to receive what I actually verified beforehand and ordered. Was also expecting at least an "I'm sorry"for mixing your order". Aside from this, the dinner service was good and I choose to believe it was maybe because it was pretty crowded and the personnel seemed understaffed at that moment.
My wife and I booked a four-day stay at the Fletcher Zuiderduin Beachhotel via HRS weeks ago. We arrived there on the afternoon of May 29, 2025, and found the rooms extremely unpleasant, at times disgusting. It's not time to repeat or add to the existing negative reviews about the above-mentioned hotel. Others have already documented this on numerous occasions. We have two main question to the management of the Fletcher Hotel Group and the on-site management: * If you were in the position of those responsible on-site and enjoyed your work and took it seriously, you certainly wouldn't place all your personal trust in the room cleaning on the staff and assume that everything corresponds to a four-star hotel. Instead, you would check regularly to take corrective action if necessary, especially given that the Fletcher Zuiderduin Beachhotel had received reports of significant grievances from guests. Would you want to pay €324.00 for one night in a 4-star hotel for such service and unclean rooms, especially considering that you have to earn your money hard?! If you are interested in obtaining images to speak with the staff on site and address these grievances, please let me know. We took the necessary steps and left the hotel this morning.
