Best hotel in Netherlands. View is fantastic, luxury rooms. Tempered pool. A fantastic terrace with access to the lake. Great breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Reception guys are very kind. Absolutelly recomendable.
I find it difficult to understand that a hotel that defines itself as excellent, is supposedly a 4 and a half stars and charges 180€ a room per day only offers a tiny piece of soap as toiletry, doesn’t have a minibar in the room and the parking is very far from the entrance. Besides it doesn’t include breakfast in such level of price.
Would give a zero star if possible. We were booked and prepaid at this Flonk well in advance through hotels.com, who later confirmed our correct dates. The morning of our flight we received a confirmation from the Flonk with the wrong dates, booking us one day later than our arrival to one day after we would leave. Hotels.com verified our correct given dates but the Flonk not only couldn’t find a room for our first night, they cancelled our entire week without our permission or an apology. Needless to say it was a challenge to find a room at another hotel in Groningen for a week. We ended up finding a room at The Social Hub, which turned out great. Now hotels.com has tried for two weeks to get our refund back with no success.
