Really nice place! We'll definitely visit again. Having access to the Club and the amenities is wonderful. I didn't experience anything specific and have no complaints, but from my observations, I can see how some of the previous comments would be perceived as a gap in staff knowledge or general customer service. Overall, a great time with family.
Our room was spotless, comfortable, and had gorgeous views. The resort grounds were beautiful, and overall we enjoyed our stay. The steakhouse, however, fell short. We had an 8 PM reservation with a note about celebrating a birthday, but our table wasn’t ready. The host’s tone felt dismissive, telling us to “go check” outside seating ourselves. After waiting at the bar, no one came for us until I followed up at 8:20. At this price point ($500 dinner with wine) and in such an upscale setting, I expected our table to be ready, especially since the restaurant didn’t appear busy. Once seated, our server was excellent and the food outstanding. Checkout at noon is nice, but housekeeping knocked at 9:30 AM and again at 11:55, disrupting our last morning. We were also double charged for brunch (later corrected). These issues — combined with the steakhouse experience — will likely have us choose another property when visiting Colorado Springs again.
Stayed in the Presidential Suite for 4 nights. Very spacious suite with mini kitchen (no utensils or tableware) large table, living room separate bedroom and connecting large bathroom. Large open shower area with bathtub in same room so there is no privacy if you are taking a shower, it's all glass and open. Lights are a bit wonky at the sink area as they aren't that bright and if you want the ones on to see yourself there is a fan that is exceptionally loud, so loud you'd rather get ready with no lights. The suite had a wraparound balcony which had a nice of the mountains but also the athletic club/pool area so if you were looking out everyone would be looking at you, which was kind of funny. We ate lunch at the hotel twice, very good so can recommend that. It's not really marketed to eat lunch there as you see no one in the dining room but they do serve a great hummus appetizer that I had both times that was excellent. We ate at the steakhouse twice and both times had an amazing filet. They actually cooked it to perfection, rare blue, a first for me, highly recommended dinner there. Great service, drinks and food. We did have an issue, a family that had 5 kids got in on Tuesday evening. First there is no reason the hotel had to put the family directly above our suite, which makes no sense as the hotel was nowhere near capacity. It was the worst experience we've had with people above us. I am not exaggerating when I say it sounded like the kids were jumping off the bed doing cannon balls or dropping bowling balls on the floor. Seriously, it was so loud that you could hear it out in the hallway as well. My boyfriend went down to concierge to ask if they could please notify them of the noise, he was told "Oh...they just checked in, the kids had been in the vehicle for a while" now the noise had been going on for 30 minutes when we first complained. That is unacceptable to tell a guest, and I do not think the guy even called the room as the dropping bowling ball/thunder sound went on for an hour, up until 10:15 PM. We both went down the 2nd time to complain and still nothing happened. I'm sorry but as a kid I knew better to run in the house let alone a hotel or public place. Then the noise continued the next day, we both were working from 5-11 AM while there so it was lovely to experience the noise on calls. Wednesday evening the same issue, it was the loudest in the evening. We went down and got told "oh, they just got back to their room" but it had been going on for over 15 minutes, so that was a lie and again no excuse to say "they are allowed to let their kids run like terrors and purposefully make noise". We checked out Thursday morning and we notified the female manager at the front desk, and she apologized and said this was never raised with her. It is a huge issue as no one followed up with us to ask if the issue was addressed nor did they even speak to the family. It is the hotel’s fault and terrible parenting. Do not put a large family above a room if there is plenty of available rooms as well above a suite of the cost we were paying. We shouldn't had to have our peace ruined for two days and nights with the hotel caring less of what was going on as well clearly not being informed of what takes place in the evening if there are any complaints raised.
