Fondavela Hotel

Loved this place! Great room-large with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Great place to walk around and look for wildlife. Friendly staff doing an awesome job. Delicious meals! I love the breakfasts!! I also had a couple of other meals here. You can eat in the main restaurant, or outside upstairs or in the bar. The bar is very cozy. I like the high ceilings and big windows of the restaurant. Great location and convenient to get to wildlife preserves fast. Loved the peace and quiet.

This Monteverde hotel is the bee’s knees. 10/10 would recommend. Quiet. Near the end of the town. Limited rooms means more solace. Pool rocks - kids loved it. Drink an Imperial in the clouds. Night hiked their trail and saw armadillos, green eyed beetles, huge spiders, and more. Breakfast options awesome. Staff so friendly!!! Crazy amount of birds from your patio. Here was our list: 1. We were upgraded to a suite and absolutely loved the size of the room, the beds were super comfortable and the property is lovely. It was raining a lot every evening so having a comfy and clean room to go back to is a god send 🌈 everyone was super nice on the property - service a bit slow but hey, you’re not here to run - pura vida! The breakfast was ok, a la carte type with Costa Rican specialties mainly. One star less to the overall rating for me goes to the pool area - the bar was always closed and the water in the jacuzzis was not warm enough. Overall great stay though!
