Fontaine des Magnarelles

Our stay at Fontaine des Magnarelles was a much-needed retreat, and everything was perfect. Chantal and Jean-François were especially delightful—gracious, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Their hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable.

JF and Chantal are amazing hosts. When we stay in Provence, the house feels like a temporary home. The swimming pool was spotless and felt wonderfully natural. The garden was filled with the scent of lavender, creating a truly peaceful atmosphere. JF and Chantal’s recommendations helped us discover the area and even explore Marseille in a more meaningful way. We truly hope to return soon.

This bed and breakfast is situated about 15-20 min south of the village of chateauneuf du pape by car, in a beautiful countryside setting. The hosts Chantal and Jean-Francois were extremely warm and welcoming, treating us like long lost cousins. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the region and have tons of maps and materials to help recommend and guide activities. The garden is gorgeous and large. We stayed in the small studio apartment with a kitchenette including a laundry machine which was very convenient. We also had a small patio outside our door, which connects to the larger patio, and was a lovely little corner to walk out to in the morning. Breakfast is copious and delicious with all high quality local products that were carefully selected by Chantal and Jean-Francois. We did not use the pool since it was still early in the season and a little cold, but it looks welcoming and beautiful with a covered patio and multiple seating areas.
