My husband and I had the most perfect stay at Fontelunga. The house is so tastefully decorated and the views are superb, but what made it for us was the hospitality. We were made to feel like friends who had popped by, and we very much enjoyed chatting to Paolo and Philip as well as the others. We were given great advice on local restaurants to dine at, as well as the most scenic routes. I loved my morning runs and lounging by the pool in the afternoon sun. Also, the dogs were a huge bonus which added to making the villa feel so homely. Paolos daily cakes were a real treat, also. We'll be back xx
I absolutely adored this exquisite home from home and would go back and stay again in a heartbeat. I was part of the Mindful Escapes retreat and Villa Fontelunga was the perfect location. The whole place, inside and out, is beautifully appointed and looked after with love and a big dash of style. The hosts are wonderful and add genuine and warmth to the visit. I couldn’t have asked for more and would thoroughly recommend to anyone seeking a restful stay in the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
We had a wonderful time at Fontelunga Tuscan. It’s a really beautiful and unique place, with a super laid-back and homey vibe. You can tell Paolo and Phillip have put a lot of thought into making it feel more like a cozy home than a typical hotel. The rooms are cute and quaint, and the shared living spaces feel like you’re just hanging out in someone’s living room. Plus, the view of Tuscany from the bedrooms is absolutely stunning. One thing to know is that the vibe is very casual—even breakfast and cocktail hour are kind of DIY and you just pay for what you use. So if you’re looking for a more luxury, catered-to kind of experience, this might not be the spot for you. But if you’re into a relaxed and personal stay, it’s totally worth it. Paolo and Phillip are amazing hosts—super friendly and helpful, and they really make the experience feel personal. They know the area really well and give great tips on what to see and do. Overall, I’d definitely recommend staying at Fontelunga.
