Foresteria Il Giardino di Fontarronco

We absolutely loved our stay here. The grounds a beautiful and peaceful, the pool is clean and great for the kids, and the rooms had all the basics. The onsite restaurant is excellent, with lovely views over the orchards while you eat. Marian and Luca looked after us so well. Marian, thanks for the advice on day trips to local towns and cities, and for making us so welcome. (Oh, and for the advice on the local bakery, delicious food and coffee) Luca, thanks for the amazing service, great wine and tips for local restaurants. We all loved it here.

We had a lovely stay at Foresteria! The staff is friendly, the cottages are equipped with all necessary items and the swimming pool is clean. Free parking aswell! I would recommend to stay here!

The place leaves a lot to desire. Not really as advertised. There is no TV in the rooms and no WiFi. It has great potential but it lacks in many areas. We were a huge family reunion in July 2024 which occupied the whole resort, and we found that in the hot summer heat, the owner and/or management did not do the proper work to make the guests feel comfortable in the room. Even light bulbs needed to be changed to have decent lighting. Each room has 1 or 2 A/Cs but they are both not functional. it takes instructions to properly figure them out. And when you do, you find it blows only air when set to maximum cooling. All it takes to recharge the A/C is the refrigerant (something that costs little but makes a big difference in customer comfort). In some cases, the roof of one room leaked overnight due to rain. The kitchens are not well equipped and the plumbing backed up in several rooms. In several cases, equipment is a hazard. It's like the management did not test the rooms before we arrived. And we had booked and paid many months in advance. For this we found that the cost was too high for what was experienced.
