Foresteria La Torretta

Perfect location for a short stay. The owners are very kind, the cappuccino tasty, the garden with the old trees very beautiful and charming, the rooms are clean, the shower is great, and it’s located near the highway and only 20min outside of Lake Como.

We only stayed one night on our way to Como, and we're glad it was just one night. Overall, it's a very nice hotel/B&B with a convenient location for traveling to Milan and Como. What I didn't like, however, was the unusually high number of strict rules, such as mandatory check-out at 10:00 AM and check-in ending at 10:00 PM. If you needed a late check-in or check-out, an additional €25-€50 fee was required. Overall we felt as though the owner wanted us to leave as soon as possible.

When we arrived the owner told us we canceled the reservation. We never did that and the only e-mail correspondence is the confirmation from the booking. But he said he don't have place for us despite showing him the booking confirmation! Very stressful, he send us away with a baby, pregnant woman after 9 hour driving. But most important he made the mistake by overbooking the place. I read in another review he did the same to somebody else so I would not take the risk to book something here. After this happened I send him an e-mail waiting for his response or excuse but he is not responding at all anymore, that's why he deserves this review. Horrible service, you can not treat people like that.
