Excellent service! We were greeted with a welcome drink at the bar while we waited to check in. The Front Desk was very friendly and helpful! The concierge helped with recommendations as well as scheduling a transfer to the airport for us on the last day. Overall, we had an excellent day, the interior is very chic And upscale. The rooms themselves have a beautiful view of the water and the city! I highly recommend this hotel location to anybody, it’s a fairly short trip to the cable cars to take up to Porto and the historic district side! Staff was incredibly friendly as well and very helpful.

Nice hotel overall. Rooms were well done and overall straightforward. A few interesting touches like the TV being in the mirror. Bed was firm enough and comfortable. Lobby and bar are decorated very well and creates a relaxing environment. All of the staff were very courteous and attentive. Location was great with the square and many restaurants a block away. Family enjoyed this hotel and is one we would come back to.

Having an amazing base camp is key to any successful adventure. Forte de Gaia is just that! There are many choices in the area but if you’re interested near perfect conditions make this your home away from home. Securing a river view completely opens up the opportunity to dream about and then go exploring Porto, Gaia and beyond. Many great locations are walking distance. Make sure you try the breakfast at the hotel. Healthy choices and fresh!
