Outstanding Stay at Forte 16 – Hidden Gem in Florence! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Forte 16, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—warm, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. The location is perfect: just a short and scenic walk to the historic center of Florence, yet tucked away in a quiet area that offers a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle. The rooms are modern, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed, with comfortable beds and all the amenities you could need. One of the absolute highlights was the rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the city—absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. The spa area, complete with an indoor pool, sauna, and steam room, was a wonderful way to relax after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of fresh options, and the atmosphere was always cozy and pleasant. The attention to detail and the quality of service truly make this hotel stand out. Whether you’re visiting Florence for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a solo adventure, I highly recommend Forte 16. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, style, and authentic Italian hospitality. I will definitely return!

This is a nice apart-hotel at the outer part of Florence city centre. Great location away from the busy area but still really close by. Breakfast is excellent and good value for money. Nice staff and welcoming. The indoor pool was lovely, however several aspects need attention. First, it is impossible for anything to dry as they refuse to switch on the bathroom wall heating due to sustainability concerns. I understand that, but the room is so humid that no swimsuit can dry even remotely overnight. Had to use the hairdryer in the end..Same applies to the bathing robes, they were unusable after the first visit to the spa. So bring more swimsuits if you intend to use the pool over several days and be prepared to take your wet ones back in the suitcase. Also, I noticed several small babies/ toddlers in the pool with no swimming diaper on. It would be good if someone from the staff monitored this. I am also wondering if booking through their website is really best rate, since a friend of mine wanted to book the same spot for the same dates via a third party website and got much better rates.

Visited in June 2025. Very good hotel. Room was spacious, sufficient air conditioning, breakfast with good selections, pool was relaxing, gym with a view to the famous Dome, scenery from roof terrace was great and luckily experienced fireworks night. Bathtub was narrow and shower head needed to be handheld. There was WiFi and said to be high speed but not really ….. 😅 All in all, experience was great except for the calling a taxi to train station at around 9:30am. Concierge would not call taxi in advance and only 5 min before. It could be hotel policy but we waited 30 min for a taxi to come which made us miss our train. Good hotel but beware of allowing even more time for a call taxi.
