Forza Mare

“Forza Mare” is a small, charming boutique hotel — if I am not mistaken, it has only 8 rooms — and its greatest asset is without a doubt the exceptional service. The people here truly make the place!!! Draco and Diana, thank you for everything — your kindness and attentiveness were above and beyond. The hotel also has a small, private beach, which really adds to the overall experience, especially on hot summer days. Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of high-quality offerings, beautifully presented and delicious. However, it is worth noting that the hotel is not suitable for guests who are not in good physical shape. There are many stairs in every direction and no elevator, so accessibility can be a challenge. As for the room — we were given the “Venezia” room, which, to their credit, was the one we requested and they clearly made an effort to accommodate us. While it did offer a sea view, the room was very small and unfortunately not to our taste at all. One issue that detracted from the otherwise serene atmosphere was a late-night party in the hotel restaurant during our last night, which went on into the early hours without any warning. It was far too loud and disrupted the sense of peace the hotel otherwise strives to offer. All in all, the warmth of the staff and the care they put into everything left a positive impression, but there are a few points worth considering before booking.

Forza Mare is a lovely hotel. We had a large room on floor one just outside the breakfast and yet it was quiet and the beds are comfortable. Bathroom shower has sufficient pressure and the window opens slightly to dry swimwear. They have an amazing breakfast plenty of choices and mimosas! The jacuzzi overlooking the bay was a treat! Darko at the desk is the most efficient helpful and friendly person. We loved all the staff but he stood out helping with bags booking taxis and giving advice on what restaurants to try. We loved everything about this hotel. It’s beautifully done and exceptionally clean. The location is far enough out of the Old town to not be disturbed by noise, but close enough to hop in a cab to visit. The breakfast options were brilliant. You can choose a hot option from the menu while helping yourself to the continental buffet also. We did eat lunch at the hotel regularly. It isn’t cheap. But if you want cheap you wouldn’t be staying at the Forze Mare. You get what you pay for! There are fast food places towards the old town. You can borrow bikes and take a cycle down. What made this place SO special were the staff. They don’t stop all shift. They work long hours in the incredible heat but never stop smiling! Always so willing to help and go above and beyond. We were genuinely sad to say goodbye to them.
