Foshan Marriott Hotel

New hotel located in Foshan, China. Room was huge with modern decorations. The bed was standard American bedding. Very plush and relaxing for a good night sleep.Breakfast buffet had plenty of selections for both Asian and western taste buds. Front desk service was impressive and impeccable.

The hotel is lovely. Super modern, minimalist chic design. The staff is relatively well English speaking compared to other hotels in Guangzhou. My highlight was Daphne in the M Club, she was absolutely wonderful. So attentive, kind, welcoming, and just made sure everyone enjoyed their experience. Management should take note.

The hotel is in the northern part of Foshan, near a mid-size mall, a lively night market, and a long canal with manicured gardens on both sides, scisscrossed with bridges. The area lights impressively at night, pleasant to be there day or night for walking and relaxing. The room was spacious and clean and service was friendly. The only problem was that the hotel shared the same building and elevators as the Courtyard, with check-in for Courtyard on level 1 and Marriott on level 2, with no visible indication of difference. Our taxi dropped us at the building entrance, we queued up behind a large rowdy group for nearly 30 min and was then told we had no reservation. On showing our reservation, we were directed to the Marriott check-in level, a completely avoidable hassle.
