The receptionists are very warm and friendly. Makes you feel welcome and free. The vibes and aesthetics are very nice. Food is decent i would definitely go again.
We visited the Grill Room at Fountains Hotel. If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience at a restaurant that offers a relaxed atmosphere, comfortable seating, and soothing decor, then The Grillroom is the place for you. The service quality is very good with attentive, friendly waiters. We had the Tiger Prawn starter to share, I had the steak( asked for medium but got almost well done), and my wife had the ribs, which she enjoyed. For dessert, I had the Chocolate Lava cake, and my wife had the New York cheesecake. The red wine I had was a very enjoyable Durban Hills varietal. We even got to watch part of the rugby. Very enjoyable experience.
Hotel in a dodgy part of town that definitely needs a major overhaul. Staff are great. Rooms are tired, even the refurbished ones have cheap joinery and substandard workmanship. I'll pass till it's been completely overhauled. So much potential though.. And some excellent staff. Also, rooms don't have double glazing so traffic noise from the fountain can get a bit much.
