Our room was extremely comfortable and for the price was a real bargain, especially when compared to other Russian hostels for a similar price. The gym for all guests was particularly good. We ate one night in the restaurant which was excellent, again being considerable better value than you would pay in London. Amazing home-baked cookie when you check in (get there early enough and it'll still be warm).
Excellent location, great staff, great breakfast, spacious, comfortable and quiet rooms. A slight problem for smokers though: one has to go outside, the windows do not open.
Magic and quality is slowly declining. The hotel was under Hilton brand with full strict control of everything. Now you will not find in your room individual small shampoo and bath gel. Personnel may not say you "Hello". In the room you may not be able to switch off the ventilation fully and this sound may damage your sleep. In the bar you will see huge ugly plastic sound system... Anyway still worth to stay here. Breakfast is nice.
