I stayed 2 nights here. Being a Marriott Gold member, requested for an upgrade but was not provided any at check in. Close to the Las Americas Plaza (about 1 km) and close to Walmart Express where the sister Ibis Hotel is located. Had a good stay, breakfast was not included. But, restaurant open tilll 10 pm on ground floor. Same folks do room service as well. Overall happy with good gym on fifth floor and pool
No issues with check in. Comfortable beds and good pillows. Other notes: 1) We were supplied one towel for a double occupancy room 2) The capsule coffee maker in the room was not supplied with any cups usable with the coffee maker 3) Went to get ice and observed that the filter was last changed in 2023…. 4) Ordered room service at 11:15AM and were told 20-30 minutes. At 12:05, we canceled as checkout was at noon Overall, convenient location, but not a place we will stay again.
Sheraton: A Practical Stay for Business, But Lacking Vacation Appeal The Sheraton serves its purpose well as a convenient base for business travelers or those in need of a short, functional stay. Located adjacent to a hospital and just off one of the city’s main thoroughfares, the hotel offers easy access to various points of interest, making it ideal for quick trips or work-related visits. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly comfortable. The bed, in particular, stands out—plush and inviting, providing a restful night’s sleep. However, the property’s overall ambiance falls short of a resort-style experience. The pool, unfortunately, was in poor condition during my visit, littered with debris and noticeably unkempt—a clear miss for those hoping to unwind. While breakfast is technically included, it’s hardly a highlight. The food felt uninspired and forgettable, making a strong case for venturing into town, where local eateries offer far more vibrant and authentic options. For solo travelers, professionals, or those passing through, the Sheraton offers practicality and comfort where it counts. But for families or vacationers seeking relaxation, amenities, and charm, this may not be the destination of choice. It’s a hotel that knows its niche—and sticks to it.
