Four Points by Sheraton Dar es Salaam New Africa

I gave 5 stars because of my experience. Nice staff, Isabella, Judith at the reception. The wonderful Charles, a concierge, nice and ever helpful. Once you are there, you can't miss him. He is always eager to lend a hand. The staff at the restaurant were marvellous and well trained. Very tasty meals, I will miss it. Now to the rooms, thanks to those who clean, they take their time to do a thorough job. The toilets are always spotless. I just love everything about the hotel, and I will stay there again and again.

We recently stayed at the property during our stopover & had an excellent experience. The staff is warm & friendly. The food is exceptional, being an Indian the chef cooked us some scrumptious Indian meals which felt like a warm hug. The reception team is always smiling & ready to help. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a central location & excellent facilities.

New Africa is definitely a decent hotel. I'm fairly picky with where I'll stay/rebook, and I would here. I appreciate that it's a 100% non smoking hotel-- some hotels in TZ have smoking rooms and the odor always seems to migrate. The breakfast is great, and is accompanied by full espresso drinks! I didn't even know that until I ordered it during breakfast and didn't have to pay. The staff are very professional and kind, I must say; not over the top in their offers for assistance but doing their best to ensure you're taken care of. There are small things that hold this hotel back from being 5 star-- including that the bathroom had some design flaws. There were patched up sink areas that didn't look very tidy or nice, and the shower leaks for quite a while after being turned off, which is quite noisy as the water strikes the metal plate below. Its clean-- the most important part, in my opinion-- but maybe not quite nice enough for the price point.
