Four Points By Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung

I stayed the night between flights, and the room was perfect - bed was very comfortable, amenities great. Staff were AMAZING - very committed to assisting you efficiently and courteously. The shuttle service to/from the airport is good, but honestly should be half-hourly. I arrived at the bus stop 2 minutes after the scheduled departure time, so I had to wait an hour, standing outside in the car park (there is a roof to shelter from rain). Luckily I had a book, so I I passed the time OK. The bus from the airport and back to the airport the next day were absolutely packed, and it was a struggle to get everyone's luggage in. And of course when arriving at the hotel, a whole bus-load pours out to check-in, sol that's another half-hour! So these are other reasons they should really have half-hourly shuttles.

Excellent hotel, excellent staff. There was a small problem with the air conditioner at night. They immediately sent a team to deal with the problem. Adequate compensation with a very rich breakfast. Free transportation to the center and the airport. Highly recommended hotel.

The hotel ticks all the boxes for cleanliness, clean calming room design with very very comfortable beds. Location is expected if you picked as it's not near to citygate or Tung Chung MTR. But the hotel provides adequate half hourly to and fro shuttle to there. And an hourly shuttle to and fro the Airport. Opposite the hotel are some neighbour shops, with 3 eateries, 7 eleven, a laundromat, and some other shops. And in the hotel, there is also a shop alley where there are some shops, cafes and restaurants. Now this is where it gets annoying for me, cos the F&B outlets play live nightly music which is quite loud and goes on till 12am. Noise travels upwards and at 16th floor, it was still audible, i couldn't sleep or watch TV cos the noise was fighting with the TV volume. I informed the hotel and their manager and staff were so kind to offer me a room change to the top floor at the most corner room. The concierge assisted with the room move bringing my luggage which I appreciated. So very nice service from the hotel staff. However some of the bus drivers were really unpleasant and some of the front office, and restaurant staff hardly ever wear a smile. They go thru their work with weariness and without any hospitality involved. I have stayed at the Ascott, Kerry, Sliveri, prior to this and the lack of friendliness made you feel unwelcomed and cold. Plus when I went to the reception to make payment for my spa treatment the trainee actually told me my credit card was declined, and her colleague told her to use the global payment machine and then the transaction went thru. I think you should check before telling your customer their card is declined, it's not very nice. On that note, the spa treatment room was really nice. You definitely feel very pampered for a really reasonable price. . Pls go try it out. The sauna, gym and pool are also very nice. Some of things I hope the hotel could improve on. The staff friendliness, the noise though understandly not within the hotel control could perhaps negotiate with the mall and restaurants at T Bay as Four Points and Sheraton are the main tenants and without their guests, T Bay have no business being there. A proper chair instead of a stool in the room, a shower cap, plastic bags for the dustbin would all be nice little touches I feel.
