This is a great bargain for staying in San Jose. Traffic is horrible here but nothing's perfect, and that is the only drawback. Ample parking, good breakfast, friendly staff and has all the basics. Close to some really good restaurants and the busy Lindora area and Santa Ana. It's been my goto hotel lately while visiting San Jose. Rooms a bit dated, but clean and decent.
Out of the 4 hotels I stayed at in Costa Rica, this was my favorite. It felt the most like an American hotel and the food was the best. They had more variety than other places we stayed. Everything was clean and it felt so nice. It was about a 20 min drive to the airport on what seemed to be a less trafficked road.
Stay away from this place as much as you can. When we were shown our room, it smelled like mold. In the hallways there was tons of trash, bottles, cups, etc. We left and didn't stay. As a Marriot Bonvoy Silver Elite member I am extremely disappointed in their customer service. They made zero effort to make up for this disaster, even when speaking with the manager. Based on this experience I won't be using these chains of hotels anymore. Beware.
