We recently stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, what a beauty!!!Modern amenities, top-notch service, close to the train station and multiple restaurants with a wide variety of food and retail options, there was something for every taste and budget. I'm happy to recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Seoul.

I had the worst experience at Four Points by Sheraton Seoul Guro, and I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. During my stay, I activated the "Do Not Disturb" sign before leaving my room, but when I returned, I was shocked to find that housekeeping had entered and cleaned my room anyway. This is a serious breach of privacy and security, as I had personal belongings openly placed in my room. When I reported this issue, the response from the hotel was completely inadequate. Instead of taking responsibility for such a major violation, they sent two housekeeping staff members to apologize and offered breakfast vouchers or a bottle of wine as compensation, which I had no interest in. I had already seen negative reviews about the food and do not drink alcohol, so I declined. I requested to be relocated to another Marriott hotel or receive a refund for my remaining nights, but the hotel refused, claiming that because my booking was made with points, a refund was not possible. I was forced to continue my stay, feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. Every day after that, I had to lock up my belongings before leaving the room, which caused significant stress and inconvenience. To make matters worse, despite displaying the "Do Not Disturb" sign after the incident, the hotel continued calling me every day to ask if they could clean my room. This unnecessary disruption only added to my frustration and anxiety. The stress and discomfort caused by this experience even led to physical distress, disrupting my normal schedule and well-being. Marriott’s head office acknowledged that my compensation request was justified, yet the hotel management ignored this and refused to provide an appropriate resolution. The general manager called the next day to offer a dinner voucher, which I also refused due to my schedule. I fail to understand how repeatedly offering unwanted compensation is an appropriate response to a security breach. This hotel does not prioritize guest privacy or safety. I do not recommend staying here.

My mother and I stayed here for a few days in November 2024. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable and the location itself is well-connected to public transport. However, we soon noticed the smell of cigarette smoke from an adjacent room. This took us by surprise as the hotel prominently displays its smoke-free status throughout the building. Having tried and failed to speak with the guest in the other room, I went down to reception and was assured that they would check, but that it's "probably a Chinese tourist" and there's not much they can do. When I inquired with them again the next morning, the employee at reception stated that "they checked but didn't find anything". I understand that enforcing this rule might be difficult, but found their approach disappointing and dismissive. Looking back, I should have suspected that smoking regularly occurs in the building since the hallway on our floor had a faint but distinctive cigarette smell. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for travellers sensitive to smoke.
