This is not at the level you expect from Sheraton or Marriott. This was originally a low quality hotel with dark rooms, old fixtures and generally low quality construction. At some point, it was branded with the Sheraton / Marriott name. It is a very long walk from the MTR stations. There are many cheaper, better quality hotels that are more convenient to the subway stations than this place.

I'm the life time platinum member from SPG. I stayed in this hotel when I traveled to Shenzhen in the past 15 years. As a platimum member's benefit, we can do some printing in the member lounges or lobby biz corners around the world as long as we stay in this group hotels. When I requested for free printing this afternoon in this hotel, a manager named Tommy Tan refused to offer free printing services. He said there is no free printing services in any Marriott group hotels in the world. I was surprised and Mr. Tan insisted his statement with his 20+ years of services in this hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was quite disappointed with my experience. First, there is no entertainment available, which is surprising for a hotel of this category. Second, the staff does not speak any English, which is unacceptable for a four- or five-star hotel that caters to international guests. Additionally, I had a very negative experience with the massage and face-cleaning services. I was charged 900 yuan for an acceptable but not outstanding massage. However, the face-cleaning service was a complete scam—I was charged almost 500 yuan for just a few minutes of applying and wiping off products. The service was performed by a staff member named Jia. This level of overcharging and poor service is unacceptable, and I strongly advise future guests to be cautious when using the hotel's spa services.
