Four Points by Sheraton Visakhapatnam

Had a wonderful stay at Four Points by Sheraton, Visakhapatnam during a family vacation! Right from the start, the experience was warm and welcoming — especially loved the thoughtful Welcome Gift offered as a Gold Elite Member. The service here truly stands out. I had a minor issue with the shower, and the response was prompt and professional. Special thanks to Tarun from the staff for being extremely proactive and courteous in resolving it quickly. The Eatery at the ground floor serves delicious food at prices that are quite reasonable compared to other 5-star hotels I’ve visited in India — a real bonus! The poolside view is serene and relaxing, making it perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. I used my Marriott Bonvoy points for the booking, and I must say — it was worth every point. Great value, excellent hospitality, and a very pleasant overall experience. Highly recommend this property for both leisure and business stays!

Positives: Rooms are still well-maintained and comfortable. Front desk staff are polite and efficient. Housekeeping does a commendable job—prompt and thorough. Areas for Improvement: 1. Restaurant Service: The service at the in-house restaurant is average. Staff seemed undertrained and lacked the courteous and responsive approach expected at a Marriott property. 2. Loyalty Benefits: As a Marriott Titanium member, I was disappointed not to receive lounge access or even a bar coupon. Despite having a bar, the hotel does not extend any elite benefits here. Moreover, the pricing is unjustifiably high—₹850+ for a light beer (which they wouldn’t even replace with a stronger one upon request). It feels overpriced, especially when compared to other 5-star properties. 3. Fitness Center: The gym needs serious maintenance. Only one working treadmill for several guests leads to long wait times. There was another faulty one, but no sign of it being fixed. Not ideal for fitness-focused travelers. Overall, still a decent stay—but for the price and Marriott branding, I expected better. The hotel would benefit from tightening up its service and enhancing loyalty recognition.
