Such a great experience staying at the Four Seasons in Wailea! We came from staying three nights on the other side of the island and spent two nights here for Mother's Day. All the staff treated us so well from the moment we arrived to the second we left. The service here is top-notch and everyone was so friendly! We were on the Club Level, which includes a lounge and concierge service from 6AM-11PM. Adult beverages, snacks, and appetizers were all complimentary! The room was great and had a tranquil ocean view. What was most impressive was how the housekeeping staff kept it clean throughout the day. I think they may have even cleaned twice per day. The pools were very nice, especially the Adults Only Pool. And the drinks at The White Lotus Bar were delicious! Our only regret is not staying longer. We'll be back soon!
We had an underwhelming experience for the price point and Four Seasons brand expectation. Still a nice hotel but the biggest problem is that it is overcrowded for the number of pools and restaurants they have on property. That would be fine for some hotels but for a Four Seasons you don’t expect being cramped given the price point. This represented itself in not being able to get a kids pool cabana on 4/5 days despite getting there at 7:30AM, and also breakfasts overwhelmed with guests. The adult pool also consistently had 90 minute waits for a shaded spot. The property itself is great in spots but is also showing signs of age. We thought the food and customer service was solid although we opened our trip not being able to get into an upgrade for two hours despite being told 45 minutes to get it. With two young kids that wasn’t an easy thing to deal with. The kids pool is also better for older kids and pretty limited for
Unless you're getting one of the top tier premium suites, skip the Four Seasons. This place is a money grab in that there are way too many people for the amenities. The chairs by the pool are literally touching each other around the entire pool areas. For a luxury hotel, I don't want to be laying so close to the stranger next to me that we are bumping arms while sunning ourselves. Forget about a quiet conversation, the place is noisy with screaming kids everywhere. And unless you're grabbing a chair by 7:00am, you're out of luck for most of the day. Plus you have to tip/pay one of the pool guys to reserve a chair. The place is structured for staff to get tips for any little thing you need done. Once again, way too many guests for the number of chairs near the pools. The rooms are overpriced for what you get in a standard room. Our room had a bed and a couch with a nice seating area. The carpets showed wear in the traffic areas and the couch was Holiday Inn quality and showed wear as well. The room was kind of dingy in fact. Our room faced the interior courtyard, which as a waterfall feature. It's so loud at night that it sounds like someone is taking a shower right next to your bed. Either that or you close your balcony door and just do AC. But I go to Maui to feel the warm breezes. I can get AC at home. The next year we rented a condo with a private infinity pool that came with a cook and cleaning staff. No screaming kids. It was quiet, and we had staff to wait on us hand and foot for half the cost of the Four Seasons.
