Foxhall Resort

We celebrated our son and daughter in law’s wedding at Foxhall this past month. It was a beautiful weekend. We enjoyed many amenities and were very pleased with the attentive service provided by Chelsey and Wade. They both went above and beyond to make sure our wedding party had everything we needed. Many of our family members stayed in the villas while our wedding party stayed comfortably in the Cypress House. The Legacy Lookout was a perfect spot for the special ceremony and the Paddock was just the right place for our rehearsal dinner. We celebrated my son’s 1st birthday here and rented their Clubhouse Ballroom. It was a beautiful venue! The grounds are very well-kept, the room was bright and spacious; it was the perfect space to have a special event. We worked with Brad West who was super responsive from beginning to end with all our questions and needs while planning the event. He was very warm and honest with us and we were so appreciative of his attention to detail. I was nervous about the food here because I had never tried their food. I was just praying that it would be good for our guests, and the food was outstanding! We received a handful of comments from our guests about how they enjoyed the food. The service the day of was also exceptional! The kitchen staff came in while I was decorating and noticed that my linens were white. Their napkins are black by default and I said it’ll be fine, but they insisted to look for white napkins to match my decor and I appreciated that so much. Logan was the event manager during the event and he was very friendly and attentive as well. We had a great time and experience there and would recommend it for any special events!

I spent the weekend at Foxhall Resort in Douglasville and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. From the moment we pulled onto the property, it felt like we were in our own little world—wide open fields, peaceful lakes, and this calm that just hits you. We stayed in one of the villas near the lake, and waking up to that view? Unreal. It was quiet, cozy, and had that perfect rustic-meets-modern feel. I could’ve sat on that porch with coffee all day. What really made the trip, though, were the activities. I tried clay shooting for the first time (and actually hit a few targets!), we rode ATVs through the woods, and even did a little fishing. There’s so much to do, but it never felt overwhelming. Just fun and laid-back. The food? So good. We ate at their restaurant, Pheasant Blue, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. I’m still thinking about the sweet potato waffles and the local trout dish we had. The staff was super friendly too—everyone made us feel welcome and taken care of. It felt like the kind of place where you can go to completely unplug, but still have everything you need right there. If you’re looking for a getaway that mixes nature, fun, and a little bit of luxury, I definitely recommend Foxhall. I left feeling relaxed, recharged, and already planning a return trip.
