Franklyn D Resort

If you are not from Jamaica and looking for authentic Jamaican food. FDR is the place to be. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner was exceptional. I have no complaint regarding the food for the days we spent there. The nanny service was great. Customer service was great. As for the rooms. The rooms could use some updates. But we really enjoyed the food. The food their was for better than some of the street food and restaurant food. Great value!!

We loved the authentic Jamaican, small and family feel of this resort. Like most guests, we went for the nanny and was not disappointed. Food was great and way better than most r resorts too. The outdated facilities didn’t bother me at all but felt like the whole property could use a real “deep clean” and increased maintenance. The floors felt like the needed a heavy duty mopping, cobwebs from the corners and shower scum really worked. Our nanny’s daily housekeeping clean was perfectly fine— I’m referring to industrial grade cleaning. This is my primary hesitation to returning- otherwise we loved FDR!

The staff at this resort is fabulous. The nannies are amazing. Other than that, the place is pretty rundown. Nothing looks like what you see in the pictures on their website. Half of the things they list were not open the entire time we were there. The slides are broken in the main pool. Everything is faded. Everything needs fixed painted updated. You have the exact same thing every day for breakfast and lunch. The food was Just OK. If they would invest money into fixing the place up and bringing it more current It would be a beautiful place But as since right now, I will not be back so make sure that you ask for current pictures and exact information on what is it is not open and what is and is Prior to booking.
