If you're looking for a wonderful holiday experience, I strongly advise against going to this place. Our group rented a chalet that was advertised as having a capacity for 15 people. However, our stay quickly turned into a nightmare. One morning, at 11 am, the manager named Ingrid, along with a security guard and a few others, unexpectedly showed up at our chalet. They claimed we were being too loud and that the chalet was only meant for 10 people and the rest MUST leave. This was completely unfair, as there were exactly 15 beds in the chalet. We tried to reason with them, explaining that we had rented the chalet specifically for 15 people and that their accusations of noise-making at 11 am were baseless. But instead of listening, they made up excuses, like accusing us of having a fire the previous night, which was a complete lie. The situation got even worse when we went to the club later on. They continued to yell at one of my friends for no reason at all. It felt like there were racial biases involved. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this place if you want to have a pleasant holiday.
If there was a zero star option, that's what this place would deserve! Our negative experience began 3 weeks prior to our trip when we called the property to request that both the rooms we ordered are beside each other but instead, both of them were on completely separate floors despite the fact that the place appeared to be only half occupied. The real hell began when we arrived. Upon entering the room we were given our property bracelets that are meant to give guests access to the premises and in particular, the lake site and it's amenities. When we entered the lake area my daughter forgot her bracelet and the property staff did not let her in despite the fact she was with her family, nevertheless, she went back to the room and we were then all let in. It is our 7th year in a row visiting this site and we immediately noticed how much it has deteriorated in compare to prior years. For example, the tanning beds were dirty, broken, and impossible to lay down on (especially for my elderly in-laws that joined us for the trip), and in addition to that, the property now had two of the three lake entrances it used to have completely blocked, finally, the atmosphere was very unpleasant considering the amount of newly hanged signs stating the amount of things gusts are not allowed to do on site (ex: it was so ridiculous that even on the badminton court there was a sign saying you are not allowed to play any other sports on that specific court). Moving on to later in the evening, we went back to our rooms to put on warm clothes on and go sit by the fire when on the way back, my Mother in Law forgot her bracelet and was told she can't enter even though they saw her 10 minutes prior. After she went back for her bracelet and we entered the lake site we sat by the fire and were being stalked by two hotel staff members with their guard dogs which came to ask us if we had our bracelets on (again, despite seeing us 10 minutes earlier with our bracelets). We were shocked by the negative extent to which we were treated and expressed our frustration with the staff and asked if the dogs were really necessary since my wife and daughter was with us to which the Property Director, Ingrid replied with "If you don't like it here you can leave" along with other forms of verbal harassment. After the two left, Ingrid contacted a security guard that appeared to be armed to come back to the area we were seating in with the purpose of intimidating us with their presence (in addition to two large guard dogs). We went back to our rooms as soon as they left and my daughter did not stop crying the whole night. The next day our stay did not include any better experiences, considering the poor quality level of the tanning beds on site and lack of accommodations, we had to bring two small beach chairs for my elderly in-laws to sit on after which we were followed by a staff member that told us we cannot have these on site which at this point was more like absolute picking on us considering how much it didn't make any sense. We stayed in our rooms for the rest of the trip and decided to pack our things and leave a day early. We will never be back at this property and encourage others to avoid it so that the same experience will not happen to you.
The club has very nice facilities and is very well situated. You can enjoy various activities during your stay in one of the nearby chalets or the smaller units around the lake. However it is a pity that the management is having issues with some chalets owners who illegally rent their chalet to very large groups or renting their access badges to their friends and family. The management and the security guards onsite are not competent enough to deal with the consequences of these wrong doings at the expense of the tranquility of the place and the enjoyment of others. I have been in contact with the management and there seems to be no will to fix the issue. My 2 star review is to push the management to fix the issue as soon as possible.
