The check in process was so complicated that I felt like staying somewhere else. They forced you check inn with a “fee” and refuse to give you anything in writing about it. When I booked the hotel I was never told there was a fee. This is how they ploy you into a low rate then charge you $25 dollars extra a night. The front desk lady literally laughed in our faces because we wanted something in writing about the fee. So rude for no reason, she just old us to google the corporate offices. The rooms feel like they were decorated by teenage boys, very odd decor. No free breakfast so I’m not sure what the fee were even for? Need to put something in writing. The only good thing about this hotel is the location.. it’s near local train stops and it’s easy to get to downtown Boston. Won’t stay here again though.. Go to a Marriott.. I’ve never had problems there.
I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, and unfortunately, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The staff were noticeably unfriendly and unaccommodating from the start. Despite the length of my stay, housekeeping only showed up twice—basic cleanliness should never be a guessing game. Calling the front desk for assistance was pointless; my calls were consistently ignored. I arrived at 12 AM after a long flight, and when I requested a simple 2-hour checkout extension, they flatly refused and repeatedly reminded me that I booked through a third party, so they wouldn’t honor any membership rewards. That kind of attitude is incredibly off-putting. On top of that, after the first day, no bathroom accessories were replenished. And when I needed service or support, no one ever picked up the phone at the front desk. The staff seemed utterly disinterested in helping or even acknowledging guests. I was in a conference and my daughters were sleeping on day of checkout and the staff came knocked again and again to ask when are you leaving. At 11 they again came and then at 12 again. Why? Sadly, the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy made my stay unpleasant and stressful. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone expecting even a modest level of hospitality.
I stayed here for two nights during a work trip, and unfortunately, the experience was far from restful or pleasant. there was relentless thumping and heavy footsteps from the room above—like someone was jumping or stomping repeatedly. It continued late into the night, making it impossible to relax after a long day of meetings. When I brought up the noise issue at the front desk on the first night, the staff member didn’t do anything, which was extremely disappointing considering how expensive this hotel is. I expected a lot more in terms of service and basic comfort. The room I was given was a corner unit with poor sound insulation. I could constantly hear people walking and talking outside, along with loud traffic noise. To make things worse, the AC/heater unit made a loud rattling sound throughout the night., Overall, this was a frustrating and exhausting stay. I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you’re coming for work or hoping to get a good night’s rest.
