Friday Harbour is a must-visit, whether you’re planning a quick day trip or a relaxing weekend getaway. The area is beautiful and full of charm, with plenty to do and see. There are lots of shops and great spots to grab a bite to eat, and spending time by the water is incredibly peaceful. The nearby trail is also a lovely way to enjoy the scenery and get some fresh air. One tip—I visited on a Monday and Tuesday, and unfortunately, the rec centre was closed, so I wasn’t able to rent a bike or take part in some of the other fun activities they offer. If you’re looking to enjoy more of what the resort has to offer, I recommend going on days when the rec centre is open, so you can take full advantage of the rentals and experiences available.

Nice place in concept. Awesome marina. No access to facilities for transient boaters. It is very difficult to get in contact with anyone (where on their website is a phone number for the marina) to reserve a transient slip. Also there were a lot of blue shirt employees about...not one helped us with docking.

This place is a bit overrated, still nice, but limited on what they offer. If you have a boat, it might be more worth it to you, but just to visit, not really. Stores and food/restaurants are very limiting, not much options. Restaurants charge $10-20 a drink and $30-50 minimum a meal. I suppose it's good ambience, eating on the promenade near a pier, but not sure it's worth it. I do like how dog friendly the area is, although they should create a dog area instead of that fake grass turf area. The place looks much better at night than during the day with all the lights lit up. Final notes, if you have access to a boat, this place is definitely worth a visit, otherwise, maybe just do a day visit and that's it.
