Frösö Park Hotel

Great and clean rooms. The breakfast is excellent and there is a restaurant in the hotel. 10-15 minutes drive to Østersund town.

A really nice hotel, with nice rooms. The rooms with view towards stor sjø is really nice. The spa area is also a nice relaxing area with several pools and saunas. The people working here are really nice and helpful. The only thing that’s a drawback is that the hotel is located quite far away from the city.

Disappointing Restaurant Experience at an Otherwise Lovely Hotel Frösö Park Hotel is, overall, a beautiful hotel. It's peaceful and relaxing.. The front desk experience was excellent , the man working there was incredibly friendly, humble, and attentive to our needs. His service really stood out in a positive way. However, the restaurant was far below expectations and, frankly, unacceptable. It seemed like the young women working there were completely inexperienced and unsure of how to properly interact with guests. I ordered the "Ren à la Rydberg" (reindeer à la Rydberg) and was really looking forward to the whipped mustard sauce, which, in my opinion, is the best part of the dish. But when the food arrived, the sauce was missing. I told the waitress, who listened but then went to the kitchen to complain. When she returned, she told me that the sauce should be on the plate, even though it clearly wasn’t. I even showed her my plate. Still, she offered no apology, no replacement, and simply dismissed my concern. The potatoes were dry, cold, and obviously deep-fried , completely lacking flavor. The meat itself was very good, but everything else on the plate was poorly prepared. On top of that, the food was very expensive considering the low quality. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend Frösö Park Hotel because of the restaurant. There are no alternative dining options nearby, which means you're more or less forced to eat there , and that makes the overall stay a bit of a disappointment, despite how nice the hotel itself is.
