The view was what really made this stay worth it. Mt Fuji and sunsets in every room! But close behind was the service which was truly amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I was impressed that they met us at the car and carried in our bags. Our server for meals was so friendly and helpful. The accommodation was great value and very comfortable and clean. I loved that the private baths were first come first serve and did not cost extra. Would love to come back. The rooms and hotel is a bit dated and the private baths were nice but nothing special. Still, overall amazing especially for the price.
Wonderful experience. Private rooftop onsen was amazing in the chill wind. Absolutely no wait at all on a weeknight. Lovely friendly staff. Free drinks in the lounge are a great touch. The tub on the room balcony was the clear highlight! The view is amazing (even with Fuji hidden by clouds)
If I could give 10/5 I would! As someone who lived in Japan and stayed in a lot of different places, I can say this is the best Ryokan. The staff was very sweet and attentive, every details matter, the rooms were comfy and it was quiet so sleep! Loved the breakfast as well.
