The hotel is neat, the room is clean, if you wanted it could be cleaned daily, but it has some disadvantages that made us not to choose this place in the future😥. First of all we got there through an agency, but the front desk didn't have the room we needed asking us for 70€ extra, even though we paid the whole package. The food is acceptable, you have what to choose from, but not so diversified and many dishes compared to other places we have been, I did not like that there were flies 🪰 that were all over the food, the desserts were tasteless, no sugar, lucky with the fruit. If you wanted to get a table you had to go 5-10 min before the restaurant opened and run 🏃🏼♀️to reserve a table, the restaurant capacity is much smaller than the rooms, at lunch you had more places to choose something to eat, but not much variety there either, about the same stuff. The beach was more with rocks and very steep, if you walked 5 steps you were already 2m deep, which is a major disadvantage, being also very uncomfortable for your feet as the rocks are some sharp. Nothing against anybody, but the hotel was full of Russians. Overall after a couple of days I got fed up with the food and the place, I couldn't wait to get home so I could eat something else🙈. I also talked to other guests and they had the same opinion about the food and the beach 🫣.
I stayed at Armas Life Belek from August 6–16, 2025, and unfortunately my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. I feel compelled to share the full truth of what happened during my stay so future guests can make an informed decision, and so that the hotel management and Armas Hotels corporate can reflect on the serious failures that occurred. 1. Payment Incident – Forced Cash Transaction Upon arrival, I believed I had already paid for my reservation (~$2,600 USD) when booking through the hotel’s official website. I was shocked to be told I had not, and was pressured into making immediate payment. • My Union Bank debit card was declined (likely due to the large foreign amount). • I then attempted to pay with my U.S.-issued Southwest Visa credit card, which is a chip-and-signature card that should not require a PIN. However, the hotel terminal insisted on a PIN I did not remember. • Instead of offering proper alternatives (signature, manual entry, or processing correctly per Visa International rules), staff forced me to pay in cash. This was unsafe, unprofessional, and unacceptable for a hotel of this level. When I later asked for the transaction to be reversed and corrected, the staff refused, citing “daily cash closure.” What they should have done: Process the Visa card correctly as a chip-and-signature card, or escalate to management and resolve the situation without forcing a guest to carry and hand over such a large amount of cash. 2. Misleading Explanation of Card Rules Later, I was told that the “PIN-free limit” was 1,500 TRY — but this only applies to small domestic contactless payments within Turkey. It does not apply to international credit cards. This shows either a lack of training or a deliberate misrepresentation. 3. Customer Service Failures Throughout my stay, customer service has been consistently poor: • Staff were often rude and dismissive when I asked questions. • Requests were ignored or brushed off instead of resolved. • I received abrupt and inconsistent information about visitor policies, with no notice or explanation. • The atmosphere felt hostile and unwelcoming rather than hospitable. 4. Facilities and Amenities • Food quality was below expectation for a resort of this advertised standard — repetitive, low quality, and often cold. • Amenities were poorly maintained or unavailable, and many basic comforts were lacking. • Noise disturbances were ongoing and unresolved despite raising the issue. • The overall environment did not reflect the comfort, hospitality, or standard of care promoted on the hotel’s website. 5. Overall Impression What should have been a joyful family trip turned into a stressful and disappointing experience due to mishandled payments, misinformation, poor service, and substandard facilities. Conclusion For the price paid, Armas Life Belek failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. I strongly discourage others from booking here until these systemic problems are addressed by both hotel management and Armas Hotels corporate. Guests deserve safety, respect, and the services they are promised — none of which I received during my stay.
Unfortunately, the service is aimed only at Russians. All entertainment and staff communicate exclusively in Russian. Due to the dominant nationalities, it is difficult to maintain order within the hotel premises. The hotel facility itself is decent. I suggest Europeans choose a different hotel for their vacation. It's hard to rest here. Unless you want to listen to Russian music.
