We really enjoyed our night in this hotel! Very sweet South Tyrolean family running it. Our room (double with balcony) was very spacious, clean and modern. The view was relaxing. Breakfast was ample and high quality. We really enjoyed Tirol and will absolutely return and certainly stay at Furggerhof.
We had a stopover there on our way to see nearby castles. Excellent lunch in very nice garden with affordable prices.
Date: 30 Jun 2023 Bad service and the main lady servant does not know how to handle a complaint. Background: We were seated outside with a big umbrella over us. The food was served, and it was good. Very suddenly it started raining, and we had just a minute or two enjoying our food before the rain was pouring heavily. The umbrella had a big hole in it and the water was dripping into our food and wine. Some guests that were mostly drinking scampered immediately inside the restaurant. We were stuck and couldn’t do the same, as the heavy rainfall would have ruined the food. While we were left there, the two guy servants were so busy collecting things left on the other tables (wine/beer glasses, condiment racks etc) and folding the umbrellas. When they approached us and had given us an umbrella it was way too late. And I said to him, maybe next time you could assist your guests first before clearing out the tables. When we went inside to pay, I decided to speak out and complain to the main lady servant that had received us. Instead of listening to the reason for the complaint or feedback about the two guy servers, she became very defensive and raised her voice. She was making a scene and telling me that it was not her fault. What a way to treat customers, I couldn’t even speak out and finish what I wanted to say! The complaint was not directed at her as a person but more of the general service level, and I was telling how the place can improve. I had to tell her many times to stop and we would just pay. To sum up: The food is good, but the service is certainly not.
