It's our third time to be here. Nice room with amazing Mt. Fuji view. The dinner is impressive!! Thanks to staff Mr. 梅津 for providing good service.
Room was spacious with many heating options (floor, aircon). Onsen was incredibly relaxing and private. Staff were friendly and greatly hospitable. We received complementary gifts, tea, and welcome snacks. Staff can speak some English and try their best to ensure you can understand. Meals were decadent with multiple courses, including dessert, tea or coffee afterwards, and breakfast included. The view from the rooms was stunning. Location may not be easily accessible for some but the experience was worth it.
The WORST HOTEL ever in the Nishi Izu area, given the similar price range. If you could have better judgement, reserve Fugaku Gunjo or Mayu Futahari in the similar distance. The View of Fuji Mountain is soso as the location is FAR WEST compared with Fugaku Gunjo. The restaurant of this hotel is one of the best locations to see the Fuji Mountain. But be CAREFUL if you are foreigners, as you will not be given the best seats compared with other native guests. I was given an OK seat when it’s not fully booked at the first day, however on the second day, I was arranged to a seat where NO ONE sat at the first day, directly facing the kitchen and the front door, so Rude and Racist to a foreign guest who stayed there for two consecutive days!!!! I guess they just don’t welcome guests who stay there for more than one day. The food is the worst as some sashimi tastes like just being DEFROST from the fridge and was Not Fresh at alll! Trust me, I just came back from luxury hotels in Ise, and had tried dozens of abalone, lobsters and all other kinds of seafood there. I know the best taste of seafood and the food material in this hotel is definitely not the finest, like its hotel rating, three stars at most. And the hotel gives a a cheap smell of a nikuyaki restaurant so don’t wear your finest dress as well. I have been to Shigira Mirage in Okinawa, where I learn a proper teppanyaki restaurant should be in a luxury hotel but to my disappointment, I see nothing similar, and I could only see one teppan and so embarrassing. The English service is also poor as hell. I think no one staff can speak proper English and you may be treated as second class if you don’t speak proper Japanese. When you complain, the manager will show an idiot face of not understanding English and give no apologize at all. Such Arrogant and Rubbish Services!!!! And for the cleanliness of this hotel, just see my pics that could give you a nightmare, such a joke for a three star hotel…. At last, I don’t normally leave bad comments but this restaurant’s behavior really irritates me. I have experienced in multiple luxury hotels like Amanemu and so on, I could say I have the basic idea of hospitality. And this hotel is far below the proper standard I would say.
