We stayed at The G Boutique Hotel in Portsmouth, paying £382 for two nights and it was one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. The room was tiny, had an unpleasant odor, and was poorly cleaned. We chose to stay quiet about that, though we shouldn't have. But nothing could have prepared us for what happened next. On the first night, at 6 AM, someone entered our room while we were sleeping. Yes, a complete stranger opened the door and stood there watching us. I was in bed with my husband, both of us asleep and completely vulnerable. This was deeply disturbing, terrifying, and a massive violation of our privacy. We immediately went to find staff, but there was no one available. Hours later, we finally found someone, and when we explained what had happened, the response was shockingly dismissive: "And?" — as if it was no big deal. I asked, "Where is the privacy? Isn’t the room supposed to be a safe, private space?" The staff member shrugged it off and said they'd look into it. No one ever followed up. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. This was not just poor service it was disgusting, unacceptable, and dangerous. A hotel where strangers can walk into your room while you're sleeping is a hotel that has no regard for safety, dignity, or basic human decency. DO NOT stay here. This place is a joke, completely degenerate, and should be held accountable for such a serious breach of guest safety. If anyone from the hotel is reading this: shame on you. The fact that no one took responsibility, followed up, or even showed basic concern is beyond disgraceful. We felt violated, unsafe, and deeply disrespected. You charge premium prices and offer third-rate service with zero integrity. Avoid this place like the plague. Your privacy, safety, and peace of mind are not worth the risk.
