Galata World Hotel

I can't tell you how AMAZING this hotel experience was. I was coming from an Airbnb nearby that was a disaster and I found this place walking by. They were so incredible from the very moment I walked in. They let me see the room before I booked it for the night. The bed was DIVINE and SO COMFORTABLE. For $45 my room was very BIG, had a fridge, a jacuzzi tub, coffee stand, a full closet, desk, coffee bar, TV, and Ari Conditioning. It had everything a suite would normally have! Its right on a street with amazing experiences, great shopping, and Lavender Cafe is the BEST French inspired coffee. Across the street you can learn to make jewelry, Turkish coffee, a Turkish lamp, or perfume. All just a 10 second walk away. The value here is absolute incredible.

I originally booked for several days, but I finally liked the room and location so much, that I stayed 3 weeks in total. I was lucky to get 5th floor room with free city view. The room is comfortable, spacious, and with a nice working table, which has been important for me since I worked remotely during a day. Wifi is perfect, I had no issues with remote calls and system access during all 3 weeks. Location is also a very central, safe, close to transport and tourist places.

The hotel location is good however the hotel itself is not the best. The hotel room was dirty on arrival and not cleaned thoroughly before our check-in. We put up a sign to request cleaning two days in a row and came back to clean towels and toilet paper. Beds were untidy, sheets do not fit the bed and generally the room was not in a clean condition. The kettle was so filthy that we had to buy a new one. Tea/coffee/sugar was not refilled at any point even after paying high prices for our stay. I would not stay at Galata World again.
