This was a comfortable stop over after a long Camino day. The bed was nice and comfortable, the AC was great, the pressure on the shower was perfect. I just wish the shower had a curtain. One thing to take note of: You will hear your neighbors. So if you sleep light, then be honest with yourself. The front desk staff were awesome and so helpful. They gave me great recommendations for the beach and food and were kind & professional .
We had dinner at this hotel but did not stay here so cannot review the rooms. The hotel restaurant had an American style menu. We found the food tasty but our order got mixed up and there was a long wait. Pontevedra was experiencing hot weather and the restaurant was also hot with no a/c. There is some minimal outside dining but it was also very hot.
The location of the Galicia Palace is great very central in Pontevedra. The hotel experience was disappointing because the room was big and very clean but very basic, very small TV, not rubbish bin in the room and not enough toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast staff were very helpful but the breakfast was very basic, more like 2* hotel. We pay a lot of money to stay 4 days in 4* hotel, not stay in a 2* hotel standard.
