Galt House Hotel Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Attended a convention July 2025. There was a moment this hotel was packed with several basketball teams, their families, a wedding (maybe 500), our convention (around 650) plus the other regular guests and even though you could see the place packed, the staff was always nice, helpful and worked very quickly. Food and drinks were top notch. Housekeeping kept the rooms clean, neat and fully stocked. I was expecting some flaws, especially when you have so many people, but these people know what they are doing. No doubt that they have a great team because you could tell all the employees were hustling and it was obvious that the guest were their top priority. We encounter an unusual health emergency were one of our attendees ended up in the hospital. I was concerned about checking out or even if we could stay a few more days without prior arrangements. Their response was above and beyond my expectations. These people pretty much said you guys do what ever you need and know that your room will be here for you until you tell us that you don’t need it. That is service!! Location was excellent too. It was close to a lot of attractions. I will definitely stay here next time I’m in Louisville.

This hotel is huge and the lobby area is beautiful. The concierge is amazing. Front desk is great but they have two towers where the rooms are the west tower the rooms are like staying at a Ramada Inn. The East towers are suites but the cleanliness of the room is not the best, they can definitely do better with making sure that the rooms are clean and they really need to remodel the west wing. Location is great.

We went at a down time. The first week in August. A lot of the things were closed in the hotel. I had a suite that was very nice but no microwave. We kept having to go to the first floor to warm up our leftovers. Had a nice view of the Ohio River and the pool. The pool was nice but cold. It warmed up enough to swim in the last day. Location of the Galt is convenient to Museum Row and 4th Street Live. I think normally there's a breakfast buffet but occupancy was low so you ordered off the menu. It was hot and miss. One morning I got an omelet and it was delicious. Another morning I got a pancake. It was extremely dry. I couldn't eat it. The croissant with egg and sausage was very good. Overall service was pretty good. I didn't care for the coffee shop. We got a frappe and a frozen lemonade. They weren't sure how to make either one and the taste verified it. I would stay at the Galt again. It's a great hotel.
