Great location as it is only 10 mins walk to La Rambla and 15 to the Gothic quarter as well as being very close to the Metro and bus stops. There are also a number of good reasonably priced restaurants nearby and the area is safe for walking in the evenings. We had 2 rooms (501 & 509) and both were clean & comfortable with minimum noise from the outside. Note that these rooms are not over- sized to fit "Americans" but they are quite typical for European hotels. The buffet breakfast in the morning was generous and the helpful staff (particularly 'Xavier') gave us ideas and helpful hints to start each day off on the right foot. We would happily stay here again.

This hotel has weirdly designed, not very comfortable bathrooms. Decent breakfast: scrambled egg ( not from real eggs, though), sausages, cold cuts, prosciutto, yogurts, choice of breads and croissants, fruits. Horrible coffee from a machine full of sugar. Their beds and pillows seem comfortable and the sheets are crispy white. Their staff are very friendly and they make up for the rest of the flaws.

The best part of my stay was definitely the staff—friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was far from a 4-star experience and wouldn’t even be the best 3-star if it were rated as one. The room was very small and dated, but clean and sufficient for resting my head. It reminded me of one of those basic rooms with a shared bathroom—the only difference being this one had a private bathroom. That said, the location was very convenient—a super short walk to the metro, making it easy to get to other areas. Plus, there were plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Overall, if you’re just looking for a place to sleep with great staff and a good location, it does the job. But if you’re expecting a proper 4-star experience, this isn’t it.
