Was such a beautiful place to visit!!! Many shops to eat at and great shopping ! The architecture was breathtaking! Took a boat ride that was worth every euro!
Ortigia (Siracusa) city of Archimedes not far from Catania A MUST VISIT ✨ Ortigia is one of those places that if you come to Sicily you must visit ! Because it is one of the most fascinating and historical places in Italy. It has a millennial history: the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Arabs, the Normans lived here. In 1693 Ortigia was razed to the ground due to the terrible earthquake and immediately rebuilt. In the main square there was the Greek temple dedicated to the god Athena who fell to the ground and above him was built the cathedral and the baroque square. In Ortigia there are many secret and mysterious places.
