I stayed in this hotel two times in July. Very comfortable facility, clean rooms, good breakfast option, nice location. All the Staff was freandly and hospitable, helped any time. This means good Management. Wanna highlight MGR Nabila, she is very open and supportive person, expressed care of the guests and involvement in her hard work! Recommended for booking in Cape Town!
We had a very pleasant stay at the Garden Court Victoria Junction Hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. The location is excellent—within close proximity to many local attractions, restaurants, and activities, making it easy to get around without needing transport. Breakfast was very good each morning, with a good variety of options and fresh ingredients. It can be quite busy early mornings and in the weekend. The only hiccup during my stay was that the original room didn’t have hot water. However, the staff handled it promptly and professionally by moving me to another room without any hassle. Overall, a solid choice for both comfort and convenience in Cape Town
This property is a complete letdown and absolutely not a 4-star property. I’ll never go back, and I won’t be going to any other Garden Court. The management is terrible. It’s clear they’re trying to cut costs, or they’re just not interested in upholding the standards of Southern Sun. I complained to the hotel management via Booking.com the day after my stay, but I didn’t hear anything back within 24 hours. That’s why I’m writing this review. The hotel is in a great location, but that’s where the positives end. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. But that’s all. The air conditioning unit in our room was broken. It turned on and turned the heating up, making it uncomfortably hot. It also made a ridiculously loud noise. The AC needed to be repaired badly. To escape the heat, we had to open the window, but that just brought in more noise from the road. All night, the room was either very hot with a loud mechanical grinding (when the AC that didn’t work was turned on) or slightly cooler with the AC off and with a lot of noise from the road. The staff at the restaurant were uninterested in their work and just going through the motions. Breakfast was average. The room amenities were pathetic. We only had one bottle of still water (for a room booked for two people — and yes, I’m well aware that the expectation for bottled water is above Golden Court ‘Standard’ and something they’re ’exploring’, which says it all), and there was a tiny green all-in-one body wash/shampoo/conditioner (?). There was no smart TV either. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I’ll never stay at another Garden Court. I strongly recommend that management step up their game here.
