Garner Hotel Dusseldorf Main Station by IHG

Stayed here for 1 night as a stopover with my two cats. Excellent hotel! Comfortable and pet friendly. Value for money and very close to station which was important for us. Breakfast was good. Perfect for travelling with pets!

This hotel was better than I expected. Did not have any noise issues since my room was facing the back instead of the front where the tram runs. Room and bed were very comfortable and breakfast was good too. Staff was friendly too despite past reviews - maybe I was friendly to them so they were friendly to me. Great location as both trains and buses just steps away as well as grocery store.

Don’t stay at this hotel, the photos do not represent a true picture. One of the staff shouted at me well he was pushing a laundry cage into my wife and myself so I had to push him away. The safe was broken no Hager’s in the wardrobe. The windows didn’t lock properly so the noise from the traffic kept us awake. On arrival the room smelled of bleach and the fumes were overpowering. The corridors had wast paper thrown on the floor. The reception was unhelpful. Spoke to the manager who said he would refund my money but this didn’t happen. We booked an earlier flight back as ee couldn’t stand it anymore. A dreadful experience.
