Garner Hotel Mainz by IHG

Stayed twice to break up long drive. Pleasant hotel vomfortable rooms and good breakfast. Super value for money. Only problem housekeeping wouldn't take the advertised midday checkout seriously and kept bothering me. I'd stay again, but I'd make sure I told reception if I wished not yo be disturbed. Having said that, the room was spotless.

We stayed here for one night. The staff was very friendly and the hotel overall was quite nice. It is a bit out of the way, but ideal for a stop-over, as it is conveniently located near multiple motorways in a retail estate with lots of shops around and right next to a McDonalds and Burger King. Mainz city centre is about 10-15 minutes by car. The room was well presented and had all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel room in that price range. It was clean, reasonably large and had a nice shower room. The bed was very comfortable and didn't leave anything to be desired. Despite the proximity to the motorway, it is far enough that the it was very quiet at night. The breakfast was good, although a bit more options would have been nice, for example orange juice was missing completely. Overall a good experience for the price of the room, and we'll certainly come back here on our next trip across Germany.

I'm only giving 3 stars because I don't like any kind of noise at night whereas at this hôtel you have to expect some maybe because of the air conditioning devices installed up on the roofs, which are very noisy! On the other side, everything else was fantastic. The room was clean and well equipped. The personnel is very nice and welcoming. The breakfast was normal.
