We had an excellent stay at this hotel! The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The receptionist was so lovely—a true gem! She was warm, welcoming, and went out of her way to make us feel at home. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with plenty of variety. One of the highlights was our room’s balcony—it offered breathtaking views of the castle and the river, making our mornings and evenings extra special. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
Excellent hotel. The river views from my balcony were spectacular. Service was friendly. The breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.
Location, location, location!! The rooms however are quite tiny and basic. The bed unfortunately was extremely firm and uncomfortable. And there is a bright glowing green light above the door which was incredibly disruptive to our sleep. Everything was clean, but the shower will randomly get colder and lose water pressure - so you have to take a quick shower. And the sink is unreasonably small, so you end up splashing yourself with water. We paid extra for the terrace, which was nice and relaxing with a beautiful view. There is no A/C during the off-season, so we slept with the door cracked (which was nice white noise with the river). The TV works and there are one or two English channels. The breakfast is good! A few hot food options like eggs and bacon, cold cuts and cheese, pastries and cereals. The kitchen staff was attentive with replenishing and friendly. Overall, the best thing about this hotel is absolutely the location. It’s just a minute walk to the beautiful bridge view of the castle, and so convenient to the rest of town. If you have a car, you must park at lot P1 and walk about 5 minutes to the hotel. The hotel offers a discounted rate but it is still maybe $12USD a day. Overall, I wouldn’t stay again because of the hard bed and tiny room, but the location is awesome. On a separate note, if you’re debating staying in Český Krumlov, DO IT.
