Room was quirky and unique, but overall is in need of repair. Jacuzzi in the main room broken, bedside table broken, marble topped table broken, no shower curtain/separator in bathroom, sink in bathroom missing a plug and smells strongly of raw sewage, and WiFi is basically not functioning except to send text messages (it’s time for a new router, folks). The most hard part for me was that one of the heaters was broken to “boiling hot” on at all times. However, staff was friendly, food was ample for breakfast and the location is easy (I went to the Italian restaurant down the way for lunch and was rewarded with a fresh, tasty meal). I also appreciate that they accommodated us to have extra rooms and I suspect that’s how I ended up in a room that clearly needs some love. It looks like an angry bull ran rampant in the room, lol!

We booked this as the pictures looked amazing with the most expensive suite with bathtub and jacuzzi. It was already overpriced at 160eu Per night due to Exit Festival. It was a convenient short ride from the bus station, and the hotels communication was good. The problems started when there was no air conditioning - the unit was from the 90s and broken - we asked for another room, but the manager said they were overbooked. Then there was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom, or lid for the garbage bin. Then the wallpaper was chipping, the cords from electricity were hanging out from the walls, the lights were broken, there was no mini fridge. The temperature in the room was scorching and we started to coughing from the old carpets. I needed ice as there was no fridge to keep out water cool. I asked the nice boy at reception and he gave me ice but it had small tiny flies in them and was made of tap water which had a strong chlorine smell. I can bear it, but the flies and potential unsafety of water to foreigners was alarming. At night I made myself a cold bath which was lovely. The next day we came to breakfast which was advertised as buffet, but the waiter told us as there are not enough guests, they will take orders for the breakfast. I asked him, if there are little guests, why did the receptionist tell us they are overbooked and they couldn’t give us a room with air conditioning? The waiter was a new guy and very polite and spoke perfect English and recommended us moce for breakfast as a typical Serbian dish. He was very nice and made us feel welcome. He tried to talk to manager about fixing our air conditioning, it got a bit better but then was back to hot. We couldn’t bear it anymore and asked for change of room. They couldn’t do it so we checked out asap having paid 130eu for that night. They gave us a 20ru discount for lack of air conditioning.
