Garrigae Abbaye de Sainte Croix

We stayed at this hotel a few days after Easter and had a truly wonderful experience. The place is stunning—it’s a former abbey that has been beautifully converted into a hotel, completely surrounded by nature. We stayed with our dog, and the staff were very kind—they even left a water bowl in the room for him, which was a lovely touch. We felt genuinely welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay. Every morning and evening, we would go for walks along the small paths that start right from the hotel—there are several to explore. The service was excellent, and breakfast was delicious—we really, really enjoyed it. We can’t wait to come back in season so we can also enjoy the pool, which wasn’t open yet during our stay. Highly recommended!

We accidentally found this hotel on Expedia while driving one hour from here. The place has character and history. This isn’t for a person who adores plastic and cheap Chinese imports. Each room has the name for a saint. We got a room with a wonderful view south into the Aix en Provance area. The hotel is a restored monastery and it really has the feel of staying in a museum. We really appreciate the old stone buildings that are in remarkable condition.

Amazing experience in a 4-star hotel situated on the hill above Salon de Provence with a great view. Excellent hospitality, clean and quiet rooms in a 12th century renovated monastery. The restaurant was worth the visit. The only observation is that the flan is not up to a Michelin star restaurant. Overall mostly satisfied.
