Had lunch here. The restaurant is bery traditional but the menu isn’t - none of the usual schnitzels or bratwursts here. The menu selection eas refreshingly small but the items on it were tantalisingly different. Some of the meat dishes are cooked on the open fireplace which is quite a novelty. I had pork wrapped in bacon served with veg and spätzle, which was lovely, and desert was a trio of chocolate delights which was also very good. Service was impeccable. It is not the cheapest place around, but it is certainly worth it. Will be back!
We regularly visit the restaurant of Hunsrücker Fass for an evening dinner and were never disappointed. The menu shows traditional German food with a twist as well as new cuisine with original dishes, also vegetarian. The menu varies with the seasons which is a very positive thing. The personell ist friendly and engaged and the atmosphere inviting.
