Garvock House Hotel

This place is an absolute gem! I recently booked a couple of nights at Garvock house very last minute whilst driving to the west of Scotland to visit family. Decided to break up the journey and so glad that I chose here! The hotel grounds and garden are beautiful and such a lovely, peaceful area to relax in. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and the staff were all excellent. I completely fell in love with this place and already looking to rebook for a few more days later in the year :)

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Garvock House Hotel and can’t recommend it highly enough. The hotel itself is a stunning building, set in beautifully maintained grounds – a real haven of peace and charm. What truly made my stay exceptional, though, was the outstanding service. Every single member of staff I encountered was genuinely warm, friendly, and welcoming. It’s also incredibly dog friendly – they went out of their way to make sure both I and my two dogs were comfortable and happy throughout our stay. The room was lovely: a super comfortable bed and a deep, luxurious bath – always a bonus in a hotel. It’s honestly one of the most relaxing few days I’ve had in a long time. If I had to suggest anything to make an already great experience even better, it would be: 1. A bean-to-cup coffee machine in the foyer. As someone who wakes early (around 5am), I found myself waiting for staff to arrive closer to 7am for my first coffee – which is filter coffee rather than fresh-ground. A self-service machine would be a fantastic addition and something I’ve appreciated in similar hotels. 2. A mini fridge in the room. My dogs eat fresh wet food which needs to be refrigerated, so I had to switch to dry kibble during the stay. It would also have been helpful for storing cold drinks – I found myself waking in the night with only warm water to hand. That said, these are minor tweaks to what was otherwise a brilliant and memorable stay. Garvock House is easily one of the friendliest and most relaxing hotels I’ve ever visited. I’ll absolutely be back – and if you’re travelling with dogs, this place is a gem!

We had our Wedding Day at Garvock on 2nd May 2025. We could not have asked for a better day from start to finish. The attention to detail was incredible and made it stress free for us. Everything was just as we imagined. All of the staff were so friendly & polite. All of our guests commented on how clean the rooms were. The food was excellent and was enjoyed by all of our guests. I think all that’s left to say is just a huge thank you for everything!!
