👍 Reception: The check-in process was quick and efficient, and the receptionist Daniela provided us with all the information we needed to make our stay enjoyable. 👍 Awesome Spa Areas: The spa areas at Hotel Gassenhof are a true oasis of relaxation. The variety of saunas, pools, and relaxation rooms were exceptional. 👍 Great Food: The hotel's culinary offerings were a delightful surprise. From breakfast to dinner, the food was not just delicious but also beautifully presented. The restaurant staff especially Rameez & Jens were attentive and ensured that every meal was a culinary adventure. 👍 Nice Aperos Organized by the Owners: The personal touch of the owners Manni & Stefan, who hosted aperitifs for guests, was a special highlight. It allowed for a sense of community and a chance to meet fellow travelers in a warm and convivial atmosphere 👍 Good Hiking Offer: For nature enthusiasts, the hotel's location offers access to some nice hiking trails, with fantastic guides Sandra and Walther. 👍 Nice Brewery: The on-site brewery was a unique touch. We had the chance to savor some excellent, locally brewed beers, and gins which added to the overall experience of staying at Gassenhof. 👍 Efficient Cleaning: One thing that stood out was the daily room cleaning service. The staff's attention to detail ensured that our room remained clean and inviting throughout our stay. It was reassuring to know that the team at Gassenhof takes cleanliness seriously. 👍 Dog-Friendly: we had our furry companion with us on this trip, and we was delighted to find that the hotel is truly dog-friendly. They not only accommodated our pet but also had dedicated areas and services for our four-legged friends. ❗Improvement Suggestion: If there's one area for improvement, it would be to encourage a "digital detox" in the spa areas. While the spa is meant for relaxation, some guests were phoning loudly and taking pictures in the sauna, which disrupted the tranquil and private atmosphere. Implementing a policy to discourage this behavior would ensure an even more peaceful experience for all guests.

This was one of the best hotel experiences of my life. The food was excellent, the staff very kind! They have a gym, a yoga room, multiple saunas and two pools. It might not be the ideal hotel to bring kids to though. During the week the hotel offers ca. One group hike/day that I can only recommend to join as well as sauna infusions, on some days there are also mindfulness exercises or other activities you can join. The rooms are big, with a nice simple decor. I simply can’t agree with some of the reviews about it not being a special place or that the staff would be unkind… They are so accommodating! Just know: drinks are exclusive, but if you consider the effort and resources put into the food and dishes prepared that is 100% valid!

I had a disappointing experience at Hotel Gassenhof and would not recommend it for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing stay. Arrival Experience: I arrived late in the evening after a long journey, only to find that all guests were taken to a nearby pub for a social evening with live music and shared tables. This was not optional, and there were no alternative arrangements for those who might prefer a quieter evening. Room Issues: The room I initially booked had an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, which prompted me to request a change. While this issue was eventually resolved, it added to the discomfort of my stay. Noise Disturbance: On the third night, the hotel hosted a live music performance. My room was located directly above the venue, and the noise was so loud that it felt as though the performance was happening inside my room. Despite raising the issue at 11:15 PM, the staff on duty stated that nothing could be done. After the live performance ended, recorded music continued at an even higher volume. By 1:30 AM, after repeated attempts to contact staff through the reception, phone, and WhatsApp chat, I had no choice but to pack my belongings and leave the hotel. Although a staff member later offered a room change and promised to lower the volume, this came too late to salvage the situation. Management Response: I was particularly disappointed by the lack of attentiveness from the management. The owner was present at the event but showed no interest in addressing my concerns. While the hotel eventually refunded the unused nights (beyond the deposit), the response was limited to a brief written apology that lacked sincerity. Conclusion: This hotel seems better suited for guests who enjoy social events and lively atmospheres rather than those looking for peace and relaxation. If your goal is to recharge and unwind, I would recommend exploring other options in the valley that cater more to quiet and comfort.
