Gate 13 Aurich Innenstadt

I can't understand the negative reviews. We found the entrance well (it was described again without being asked before we arrived). You want to stay in the room and not in the entrance area, although even this was clean. We received all the information well before we arrived and got along really well. The room was great and modernly furnished. The bed was very comfortable... We slept almost better than at home. Everything worked great and the boss was very friendly. The location is in the middle of the pedestrian zone, so it couldn't be more central. If the two of us travel to Aurich again, it will definitely be our first choice.

When we arrived and were looking for the entrance, we walked past the "so-called" entrance at least 3 times, because it looked more like... I don't want to describe it further here. Then we gathered all our courage and opened the door, but what awaited us there cannot be described. The entrance to the hotel was locked and the hotel's telephone contact could not be reached. But no matter, we just wanted to leave. How can you expect guests to have an entrance like that? I then tried to cancel the booking via Booking, but I could only imagine that the owner wouldn't respond to it. Unfortunately I didn't want to believe the review my wife read to me the night before (rats in the entrance area...etc). I would have it. Where do the good reviews come from? Maybe the owner has a large circle of friends. We were told similar things about the condition of the hotel in the surrounding shops. Luckily we had very nice accommodation close to the city. I can only advise everyone not to book at Gate13.
